Baby Paramuricea
25 €
The purple Paramuricea is one of the species most frequently caught and killed in fishing nets. We rescue these corals from the nets and transfer them to our nurseries, where they reproduce once a year. During their early life stages, we nurture the young corals to improve their chances of survival.
Our research focuses on increasing their survival and growth rates in collaboration with international coral experts. This allows us to mitigate the high mortality rates they face in the wild, giving young corals a stronger start and a better chance of thriving. Once they’ve grown larger, we replant them in their natural reef habitats.
By adopting a baby sea fan, your donation will give more baby corals a chance at life and supports vital research to protect these endangered species!
